Falon Joslyn loooooooooves Halloween.

So do we.

What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

Tuesday, October 30, 2012
Hope everyone made it through the storm alright.
I’m just glad things are clearing up for Halloween.
We have a few bloody sorority sweaters if you guys are looking for last minute costume ideas.

Say hi to Falon if you see her at your bus stop.
Seriously I love that someone defaced this ad with legit observations about the public transit system.
Personally I would have been much more vulgar. But, if you’ve seen the Alpha Girls trailer, you already know my predilection for vulgarity.

Hard Day’s Night by ~Rahzzah
I am in a turducken of emotions.Moon Girl #5 is out today on Comixology for your tablets, computers, phones, and probably some new way of consuming media that’s been invented that I am currently unaware of.
Last night I drew the last bit of content for the physical, and digital, trade paperback that will be released early in the new year.

I’m going to miss Claire, Satana, Sugar Plum Faerie, Tiki Bob, Ben, and Star very much. Cause that is it…I’m all finished….there’s nothing else for me to do….I never thought this day would come, and now that it has,I don’t know how to process this new day of not having anything that needs to get done.Ya see, to most folks out there this will be but a blip of a book amongst the boom of all the other Wednesday releases. To me though it marks the end of about 3 solid years of every moment of freetime I had being poured into this. (minus brief hiatuses into Skyrim and Arkham City of course) and every bit of brain power focused on trying to do the best job I could do at the time. This mini-series represents,to me, my birth into and entire learning curve of doing digital art. This series has spanned those 3 years, 3 format changes, two methods of distribution,  two companies, two cities, 3 computers, one repaired hard drive (thanks Mikey Zito) , two Wacom pens , quitting the 9-to-5, becoming a freelancer full-time, the birth and death of my favourite comics podcast (twice), 30 pounds, 6 inches of beard , varying muses, becoming a coffee drinker, becoming an art hermit, becoming more myth than man.

But the best things about this project honestly had nothing to do with drawing anything. The best things are getting two new best friends out of this collaboration, living next door to them in a nice house with two great gentlemen of the world (who I almost never see…see: art hermit) and a cat who I see much more often cause she’s always in the kitchen waiting to be fed. The best things are having been introduced to so many nice and interesting and artistic people (who I never see and only talk to on the internet even though they live in the same town and often have social functions mere blocks from my house…see: art hermit). The best things are having my new friends and old friends meet each other and become friends themselves. The best things are having one of my oldest and dearest friends help out on the trade paperback like we were in High School again. So yeah, our little late book is finally out, and I am as proud of it as is possible for someone of my personality type to be proud of anything they’ve done.I’m proud of all the other artists who were kind enough to contribute to our made-up world, I’m proud of our little fan base, and I’m proud of my friends Johnny Zito and Tony Trov.

Think I’ll maybe go outside today….

You, however, should stay indoors and read comics

Check out this photo of Nicole Cinaglia and Eric Roberts on the set of Dead TV.
More of Nicole in the Alpha Girls trailer.
More of Eric in that made-for-tv Doctor Who movie on Fox.
Remember that?

While randomly stalking researching Nikki Bell I stumbled on this picture from her cheer leading days with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Rumor has it she’s a beauty queen, too. Just sayin…

We’re really happy that folks are digging the film.  It’s a real labor of love but the support makes it really worth while.
THANKS!

Last night’s screening in DC went really well. Thanks to everyone from the Sweet Tea Pumpkin Pie Fest, The American University folks who came out and E Street Cinema for a great time.
Above is an awesome graphic from our dear friend Maya. I think she pretty accurately depicts the evolution of evil that lead to Alpha Girls.
